Why we built it
Our phones are incredible tools, but they’re also the most persuasive distraction ever invented. We open them for a second and lose an hour. BibleShield isn’t about shame or willpower — it’s about placing a gentle gate between you and the apps that pull you away, and pointing you toward something better.
Every time you reach for a distraction, BibleShield offers you scripture instead. Not as a punishment, but as a reset — a quiet moment to reorient before you decide what actually deserves your attention.
What we believe
- Gentleness over guilt. BibleShield is a guardrail, not a lockbox. You can pause or skip when life genuinely needs it.
- Privacy is non-negotiable. We never read, record, or transmit your screen content or anything you type. Permissions exist only to detect which app is open.
- Small moments matter. Lasting change rarely comes from grand gestures — it comes from showing up, daily, one verse at a time.
The name
